| Greater peace of mind is just a scan away with Rescue Assist℠ — the first-ever use of QR code technology to help passengers and first responders stay safe. With Rescue Assist℠, first responders can scan a QR code decal inside a Mercedes-Benz with an Internet-connected smartphone or tablet and instantly access a detailed schematic of the vehicle. This schematic, also known as a rescue card, highlights where batteries, fuel tanks, airbags and other structural components are located to help make rescues more safe and efficient. |
| Every vehicle will have a model-specific QR code installed in two locations: one on the inside of the fuel door and the other on the driver's side doorpost (B-pillar). QR codes are equipped in all Mercedes-Benz vehicles in production as of November 1, 2013, and will be available for retrofit on all Mercedes-Benz vehicles model years 1990 and newer. |

| Use this opportunity to reinforce your relationship with current customers, connect with first responders in your community and reunite with lost drivers in your AOI, all while demonstrating the brand’s commitment to safety. As the initiative progresses through 2014, continue to focus on localized communications and utilize the partnerships and contacts in your community to spread the word. |

| A complete marketing kit was sent to all Service Managers along with the QR Code Decal Kit. These materials are also available via the RDA Resource Manager where you can find best practices, ideas and FAQ information to help with customer and community outreach. You will find social media messages, press releases and talking points for after-sales customers and emergency responders. Your DSG is available to help you set up a communication plan through TouchPoint with e-mail and direct mail campaigns. |

| April is National Car Care Month, making it a great opportunity to emphasize to your customers the importance of proactive vehicle maintenance with this year’s Spring Service campaign. |
| Consider targeting active customers who have not serviced in the past 12 months. Retain them with direct mail, remind them of proper vehicle maintenance and encourage them to service at your dealership. Seasonal campaigns yield the highest response rate when you target your audience with a multichannel approach. |
| The Spring Service campaign runs through May 16. |
